Mark Wood - Conductor
Mark was born and raised right here in Forsyth County. A graduate of Forsyth County High School, he attended Mercer University in Macon, GA, where he met his beautiful wife, Julie, of 36 years. He has been the Associate Pastor/Worship and Students at Cumming Baptist Church for the past 22 years. He has had the privilege of directing numerous musicals, many of which have been blessed by the performance of several of our current FSO members. He has two grown daughters - one married and one about to be.
A note from Mark:
“There are so many talented musicians in the area - the need for a community orchestra is obvious. We are excited to provide this avenue for our community to combine our talents and create beautiful music! I am excited to be a part of such an awesome group of musicians and I cannot wait to see where this journey leads!”
